We are looking for a Software Developer C++ (f/m/d) for the Sights department in Wetzlar or Oberkochen as soon as possible.

Within the Engineering Sights development department, various disciplines such as software, optics, electronics and mechanics are combined to develop high-quality optronic vision systems.

Our observation devices combine information from multiple sensors operating at visible and infrared wavelengths to provide the user with reliable information even under the most difficult conditions and ensure the success of their mission.

 Your Tasks

• Design, development and maintenance of a software solution with customer-specific features
• Expanding the innovative, service-oriented software architecture
• Development of software modules in C++ under Linux and Windows
• Use of modern software technologies and tools (git, Atlassian, CMake, C++17 /20, buildroot / yocto, MQTT)
• Collaboration in a young, motivated and open-minded development team
• Planning and implementation of software development according to agile principles
• Use of the environment for server-side builds and tests

 Willingness to travel nationally and internationally is required. Your Profile

• Completed studies in computer science or a related field of study with a focus on software development or comparable
• Several years of professional experience in software development
• Very good programming skills (C++17, multithreading applications)
• In-depth knowledge of Linux and CMake advantageous
• Knowledge of agile development methods
• Knowledge in the field of IT security advantageous
• Team player with strong social skills and enthusiasm
• Analytical thinking and willingness to take personal responsibility
• Very good knowledge of German and English
