Performance Software Engineer

Experience in software engineering.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with one of the following: C, C++, Java, or Go.
Experience in debugging, performance improvement, optimization, and refactoring code.
Understanding of processors and performance analysis.

As a Performance Software Engineer, you will help make developers more productive, smooth out integrations with other components, and automate tools and processes.

Lead the effort of improving the performance of production jobs and shaping the future of language availability, fundamental production technologies, and tooling support for our users.
Dive deep into production performance to identify performance issues.
Collaborate with stakeholders across Google to unlock optimization opportunities.
Drive the design and implementation of performance improvements and tooling.
Propose and contribute changes to the compiler and runtime.
