What will your role be?As a member of the IntEqAsymptotic team, you will work on the Asymptotic Solver. The ray tracing based Asymptotic Solver is used for very high frequency electromagnetic field simulations. The main applications for the solver are RCS, antenna placement, automotive radar and channel propagation for 5G. The Asymptotic Solver has to continuously be adapted and improved to be competitive on the market. Especially the current developments of autonomous driving and 5G networks lead to an increased demand on simulation capabilities, which can be done only with the Asymptotic Solver.

Implement and maintain new functionalities and workflows
Execute performance and accuracy improvements
Develop GPU based algorithms
Your key success factors:
PhD or a master's degree with strong supplementary qualifications in Physics, Computational Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or in a related discipline
Theoretical knowledge specifically on ray tracing algorithms and using them for electromagnetic simulations, geometrical optics and theory of diffraction
In-depth knowledge of C++ and skills in Python is a prerequisite
Experience in GPU programming in CUDA for raytracing simulations
Experience with software engineering techniques
Very good English language skills, German language is a plus
